Welcoming Willow and Doll Pics

Hey guys, I'm back again! I've had willow, a Our Generation doll, for a while, but she was lost moving. I finally found her. She wasn't looking good. So, I brushed her hair. I cleaned her off some, and put her in an outfit with shoes.
Picture heavy post, of cute dolls :)
Here, they are so hanging out with each other. Willow is in an OG outfit aside the scooter.

Willow likes the scooter. Kaya is playing hopscotch.
Luciana and Addy made some cute drawings with chalk. Samantha is having a snack while the horse, Steps High, watches her.
Here, Samantha, Willow, and Addy
are getting to know each other. They all like ballet and ice skating!
Kaya thought horse riding would be interesting, and Luciana wanted to play on the scooter. Note: Steps Highs an OG horse but she is Kaya's horse.

Willow is pointing out an interesting cloud. Kaya is riding, Luciana is scootering, and Addy and Samantha are talking.
Thanks for reading, bye!

My Reaction To The BRAND NEW Molly Mini!

American Girl Molly Mini Doll & BookHey guys, guess who decided to up the posting? Me! My friends are tired of my typerventilating, so here goes.

First on the actual Molly before the for-sale Mini Molly:
Posted ImageStraight from AG! She looks super cute and less frumpy, because of the brighter colors. She'll come in a blue, red and black plaid skirt, white socks with red and white saddle shoes, a blue cardigan with red buttons, tortoiseshell glasses, and two braids with red bows at the ends. Her accessories will probably include a charm necklace, fake money, a red pleather-like purse, and a red beret. I think she won't have pie bangs anymore, either. I'll probably get Nanea first, though.

But on the mini doll...
Of course the bangs look a teensy bit poofy, but otherwise, it is super accurate to the actual doll.
I might even get Molly's mini doll (either the classic or BeForever updated version) to see how Molly might fit in.
I haven't taken good enough pictures, but an Our Generation Girl has joined our ranks!

Do you think Molly should come back?
Meh! Do we really need 2 1940's girls?
I say meh because it might illustrate to children how easy Molly had it in comparison to Nanea. But, they might not show that in the books, and we're stuck with 2 characters from the same time period.
I want an 80s girl, darn it!
Needless to say, with those of you with Emily the English Bennet, the outfit and accessories will look super on her!
Will I get Molly? Maybe. But her outfit will definitely come home with me!
If you can't tell, I'm trying to resist falling in love with that darn Hawaiian-culture appropriating..... mongrel? dragon? t5hrhfot?
Anyways, I have food to eat right about now, and so tell me in the comments what you think about BeForever Molly!

Dolls Love Outdoors!

Image may contain: 1 person, sitting, shoes, child and outdoorLook at all of these pretty dolls! Addy is  borrowing Luciana's meet outfit. Luciana is wearing a mixture of offbrand outfits. Kaya is wearing a casual, fun, offbrand outfit. And Samantha is wearing an AG brand dress with offbrand shoes. They are playing a game of hopscotch together!
I love this picture because it looks so simple yet so much fun. Like 4 girls taking a break.
Has anyone noticed a new addition?
Luciana has recently been to an eye doctor...
And now she needs glasses! She's taken to a pair of bright blue ones.
Other updates:
Does Luciana have a crush on Addy? Only time will tell. If so, Addy seems oblivious!
Blogger of the month is: Nethilia at American Girl Outsider! She's my idol when it comes to doll blogging. Stay tuned for the next!
Wait- did I hear about the upcoming MCM? So exciting!
MOLLY'S COMING OUT OF ARCHIVAL! No one truly understands Mattel. Are you getting her? Tell me in the comments!
I personally want to get both Nanea and Molly and have them be modern penpals because it's easier to dress a modern doll. Such is the life of a budgeting queen.
And of course, no blog post is complete without a Hi! from a doll.
In this bad light, Kaya says a quick hello, howdy doo to you all who read through! And oh look, a cat by the window! Thans for reading this blog post and check back soon- you never know about suprises!
Note: If you can tell, I was sleepy writing this

Welcome Luciana!

Hello Everyone! Prim is back, and I am excited to share with you, Luciana Vega.

Here is Luciana right out the box. As you can see, I added a non-AG brand barrette that matched her dress. It's a soft, spandex-like fabric, and it's a pretty galaxy print. It's pink, white, and starry, which matches Luciana's space theme. It also has purple and blue thrown in.
Her boots are holographic and you can tie them, and the laces are long enough for some children who have lower manual dexterity, but some may require help. The shiny material is unknown to me, but the stitching is high quality. It has a basic sole with a few star-like objects and the AG logo.
Her purse-belt seems to be something like pleather and is a pretty red color. I love the closure- it looks like a buckle, but actually, the buckle hides velcro, which would make it easier for children to put on.
Her holographic choker is pretty but hard to get on. After many exclamations in not-for-daytime-TV fashion, I was able to get it on. A young child might need help.
The star necklace goes on around the head and goes on easily.
The smartwatch needs a little tugging and cursing to get on but makes a good accessory. I love it on her, makes her more technology oriented.
Her holographic backpack seems like something a real girl her age would wear, and it matches her boots and choker. It had a constellation-mimicking image of a heart with an arrow through it. It has blue straps and the image is the same blue.
She has a star chart that really works, but it could definitely be destroyed by a child who should not have an AG doll to start with. I actually learned a little myself looking at it, for it is accurate.
The space ice cream comes in a plastic container and comes out. It has cracks for realism.
She has a space camp log book, which an older child may want to make her journal, for the pages are lined and may look easy to write in.
It also includes a certificate of completion/an award from space camp.
A lot of her accessories can be lost.
If you notice, Samantha is also wearing a galaxy dress, and Kaya is wearing a new fedora, while Addy has her hair braided and a whole new outfit! The outfit is Lea's meet outfit, and it came with a necklace and a messenger bag. It is soft and cute, but the shoes are hard to get on.
The fedora is white with blue, sparkly decoration, and Kaya loves it.
All in all I'm happy with my order and of course I will order from AG again.
The galaxy dress Samantha is wearing is off-brand, as well as her shoes. Here are the two together.
The Luciana doll herself has the shortest hair I've had on an 18" doll, but it's super silky and has a lovable purple streak. Her vinyl feels realistic and her brown eyes are adorable. She is a medium Josefina mold, and her ancestry (She's from Chile) is noticeable.

Her story is also a good book, and she has faults and positive qualities about her. All in all,  a wonderful doll.

Outdoorsy Girls

While Kaya was napping off a cold, Addy and Samantha were busy outside.
Here is Addy beneath the leaves, playing in the yard.

Here, she has a good view of a forest, and she kind  of likes the feeling of almost falling over.

She loves climbing trees, and likes this one. There's a little sandy spot that's her favorite place to play nearby.

Addy wishes she was taller, and so she sometimes pretends she is as tall as her shadow.  Still, she is happy as herself, shadows notwithstanding.

Despite Samantha's all around girlishness, she loves cars. She especially loves vintage cars, but this Toyota Camry works well enough.
Like
Addy, Samantha loves climbing. Here, she sees Addy playing a shadow game, but Samantha wants to play alone.

She had gotten leaves all in her clothes from her exploring. She had to pick them all out before somebody saw her.

Her belt got caught in a fence she was scrambling onto.

Boom! Retied as a hair ribbon. Also, she was able to get onto the fence. It's a little uncomfortable, but it's bragging rights.

Samantha secretly made a dirt castle. She had to brush off the dirt, so no one would know. Nevertheless, Prince Soil, a dirt mound of her creation, is holding up to hours of play.

Samantha was wary of the dog ,but they
 were able to get along.
Samantha also spent a good amount of time rolling in the dirt.  The End!

Welcome!

Hi, my name is Prim and I am excited to present to you Inane AG Babble!

At the time of writing this, I have three dolls, Addy Walker, Samantha Parkington, and Kaya Powell.

All three of my girls are modern/historical, so basically they take ~~groovy~~ trips into the past and I'll write some about that here.

Let's introduce ourselves to the dolls:

Kaya Powell

Religion: Her Native religion

Sexuality: Lesbian, unbeknownst to her

Age: 12

Ethnicity: Her mother is Nimiipuu, and her father is Lumbee.

Lives In: Pembroke, North Carolina

Likes: Soccer, Harry Potter, Nirvana, Rock Music, Sprite, Mac-And-Cheese, Music, Flannel, A Good Vest, Animals

Dislikes: Twilight, Ariana Grande, Football, Country Music, Pistachio Ice-Cream, Linen, 9:00 PM Bedtimes

Personality: Kaya is a tomboy. She hates wearing dresses and much rather be joking with her guy friends (her bros). She, at the same time, is super close to Samantha and Kaya sort of has a crush on her, though Kaya doesn't understand how someone could like wearing dresses and dancing to classical music. She speaks some Nimiipuu and follows her Native religion. She also wears a porcupine quill necklace to remind herself of who she is. She plays the flute and guitar, and she hopes to open a band when she gets older.

Samantha Parkington

Religion: Judaism

Sexuality: Bisexual

Age: 12

Ethnicity: White

Lives in: Pembroke, North Carolina

Likes: Equine Activities, Jane Goodall, Jane Austen,  Dancing, Classic Music, Cats

Dislikes: Twilight, Football, Polyester, Sushi, Birds, Mathematics, 9:00 PM Bedtime

Personality: Samantha is the girly-girl to Kaya's tomboy. She loves linen dresses, lace, polka-dots, hearts, and is a hopeless romantic. She had a bad experience with birds when she was younger, so she has ornithophobia. Her dream is to open a dance studio, or maybe work on a cherry orchard. Truth be told, she probably wouldn't be good at working on a cherry farm, she's far too glamorous. She is dramatic and would make a good actress. She is thinking of writing a Valentine's card for Kaya.

Addy Walker

Religion: Southern Baptist

Sexuality: Bisexual/Closeted Lesbian (The girl is 12, for chrissake)

Age: 12

Ethnicity: African American

Lives in: Pembroke

Likes: Cookies, Baking, African American Studies, Fish, Yoga, Music, Pumpkin Seeds, Opera Music, Soul Music, Rap Music, Rock n Roll Music, Mathematics, Fashion

Dislikes: Twilight, Ariana Grande, Archery, Softball, Wolves, Rainy Days, Bad Music, Bad Fashion, Weird Makeup

Personality: Addy is definitely outspoken, and she will call you out on whatever bullock you give her. She is constantly tutting at Kaya's fashion style, and made her the dress to wear to Kaya's cousin's debutante ball. Addy dreams of being a world-class fashion designer, but to be affordable because her parents are poorer then Samantha's or Kaya's. She loves meeting new friends but she struggles in History. She succeeds in mathematics, converting whatever the measurement is to something to do with fashion. She has hoop earrings she never removes, and her great-great-great-great-great grandmother's cowry shell necklace. Like Kaya, she never forgets who she is and who she came from.

About the posts:

I'll post when I feel like it. Don't like it? I don't give a damn. Try to stay on schedule: One post per month.

I'll post crafting, adventures, photos, reviews, introducing new dolls, whatever I feel like works and is doll oriented.

See you sometime in February!
